Hal Malcolm, one of the true innovators in vocal jazz passed away this passed December. He started the first community college jazz choir and organized and produced the first jazz choir festival. His jazz choirs performed at every major region and national music conference in North America. His legacy lives on. Dave Barduhn, a former student of Hal’s, now directs Mt. Hood Community Collegs Jazz Choir, Genesis. Enjoy Dave’s arrangement of Same Ole’ Story.
